"I chose to invest in Scripps through estate planning because I've always believed that giving to Scripps is the most powerful way I can create positive change in our world. While philanthropic interests change over a lifetime, and while we chose to give to many causes we care about over a lifetime, Scripps' long history of advancing women's empowerment, and through our alumnae creating positive change in the world, make it the best fit for my long term gift planning. I know that no matter when my contribution arrives, it will be well utilized by the college and make a direct impact in the lives of women who will change our world for the better.

Though gift planning is inherently a long-term investment, and therefore we're unable to know exactly what kinds of challenges Scripps will be facing when our gift matures, it's easy to assume that attracting the very best students regardless of need, and keeping the cost of attendance accessible at a small, private, liberal arts women's college will always be a challenge. Knowing that Scripps can count on significant and reliable planned giving income for the long-term will help us create stability and growth now and in the future. Knowing that I'm a part of that helps me give with confidence and understand and embrace my philanthropic place in the world."
